The Writing Center offers tutoring services in writing and reading for students. However, the tutors in the Writing Center work with students from other LSUA classes as well. More specifically, the tutors in the Writing Center can help you get started writing by teaching you how to brainstorm for ideas. Tutors can help you learn to organize those ideas and develop plans for your papers. Once you have a draft, tutors can answer your questions about how to revise your papers and even read drafts to see if they make sense. Tutors can also answer questions about sentence structure, punctuation, and documentation. The Writing Center does not proofread or edit. The Writing Center is staffed with faculty recommended and trained peer tutors. The hours of operation are posted at the entrance of the TLC Lab.
